Our principal, John McPherson, became one of the developers of the Greenstone software in 2000 when he started graduate studies in the Digital Libraries laboratory at the University of Waikato. Examples of core functionality implemented here include plugins such as EMAILPlug, DBPlug and BibTexPlug and well as implementing the shift from a table-based HTML layout to using CSS.

With our expertise and experience, we offer the following services:
  1. Advice and support.

We can answer any technical questions on Greenstone’s capabilities and requirements.

  2. Adding new features and functionality.

For example, improving Greenstone’s internationalization/localization capabilities (such as stemming, sorting, and pruning) for a specific language.

  3. Hosting of collections on our servers.

We take responsibility for maintenance of the servers and keeping your collections available. We offer a range of service levels.

  4. Development of plugins

to process source documents in arbitrary formats.

  5. Custom interfaces

Greenstone can be themed to fit into your existing website. Example installations we’ve themed: Waikato Linux Users Group website, Historic Digital Bridges collection.

Our expertise is with Greenstone version 2. If you would like more information about any of our services, please send us a message. If you are using Greenstone version 3, you can find support options on the Greenstone project’s support page.
